Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fly Dar-es-Salaam to Kigoma Then Gombe National Park
Transfer to Dar Es Salaam airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma 09:30 am Arrive at Kigoma airport 11:40. Pick up on arrival and transfer to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe (2 hours boat trip). Pick up on arrival and transfer to the camp 14h00 hot lunches at the camp. Afterwards proceed for Chimpanzee tracking in the forest. Gombe Stream’s main attraction is obviously the chimpanzee families that live protected in the park’s boundaries. Visitors take walks deep into the forest to observe and sit with the extraordinary primates for an entire morning. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. Val vet and colobus monkeys, baboons, forest pigs and dik dik inhabit the dense forest and a wide variety of tropical birdlife.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Return to Kigoma
by 08h30, Start Chimpanzee tracking in the forest, Gombe became well known for the conservation project started from Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe on 1960. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, many other species of primates live in Gombe Stream’s tropical forests. After lunch we will be heading back to the national park entrance, where our boat will be waiting for transfer back to Kigoma. Once arrived in Kigoma, you can take an afternoon flight back to Daressalaam or spend an additional night in Kigoma before departure.
