This 3-day Tanzania lodge safari takes you to two of Tanzania’s most stunning wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. From large herds of elephants in Tarangire to the breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife in Ngorongoro, this trip offers an unforgettable safari experience while staying in comfortable lodges.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
The journey starts with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic baobab trees and vast savannahs. This park is home to large herds of elephants, along with lions, leopards, giraffes, and many other animals. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the year, making it a great spot for game viewing. After a full day exploring the park, head to a lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, leave Tarangire and drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The afternoon is all about enjoying the stunning scenery and wildlife as you descend into the crater, a natural wonder filled with diverse animals, including the Big Five. The crater floor offers excellent chances to see rhinos, lions, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Later, drive to a nearby lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Start the day with an early breakfast before another game drive in the crater, maximizing chances to spot more wildlife. After a few hours of exploring, begin the journey back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon. This marks the end of a short yet unforgettable Tanzania lodge safari.
