The safari starts with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees. The park is home to a variety of animals, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. After a full day of game viewing, settle at a campsite inside or near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, head towards Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with breathtaking views along the way. Serengeti’s vast plains are home to Africa’s most famous wildlife, including the Big Five and large predator populations. Spend the afternoon on a game drive before setting up camp in the heart of the park.

A full day in Serengeti means plenty of time to track wildlife. Depending on the season, the Great Migration may be happening, with thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing the plains. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas are often spotted. Enjoy meals at the campsite while listening to the sounds of the wild at night.

Start the day with a morning game drive in Serengeti before heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, there’s a chance to see more wildlife, including buffalo, hippos, and antelopes. Arrive at the campsite near the crater rim and enjoy the stunning sunset over the landscape.

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning for a game drive in one of Africa’s most unique wildlife areas. The crater floor hosts a dense population of animals, including rhinos, elephants, lions, and flamingos at the soda lake. Spend most of the day exploring before heading back to the campsite.

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of the safari. Arrive in the afternoon with great memories of a 6-day Tanzania camping safari.
