Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive in Arusha, the starting point for safaris in northern Tanzania. A driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your lodge. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the adventure ahead. If time allows, explore Arusha town or visit a local market.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The Tarangire River attracts a variety of animals, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a full-day game drive before heading to a nearby lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park

Head towards Lake Manyara National Park, home to tree-climbing lions and flocks of flamingos along the lake. Elephants, hippos, and baboons are commonly seen. Ndutu is a prime location for the Great Migration from December to March when wildebeest give birth to thousands of calves. Spend the afternoon on a game drive before settling into your camp.

Day 5-6: Full Days in Ndutu (Great Migration Viewing)

Spend two full days exploring the Ndutu plains, where wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather in large numbers. Leave Ndutu and head deeper into Serengeti National Park. The central region, also known as Seronera, is famous for its resident wildlife, including leopards along the riverine forests. Spend the day tracking wildlife and enjoying the vast open plains of the Serengeti. Overnight at a lodge or tented camp in the park.

Day 8: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Early morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at the crater rim in the afternoon and enjoy the stunning views of this natural wonder. Overnight stay near the crater, preparing for an early descent the next day.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
